Just bought myself a set of Gen 1 gym badges. I saw them at a convention, didn’t buy them right away, came back a few hours later and they were gone. Yep, I have regretted that all year.

Aw this is awesome!
I do worry with this sort of thing though about over-correction. When I was a kid I could have not been more of a tomboy. I wanted to do everything boys did. I wore boy clothes and resented dresses. I wanted a boy name. I even insisted that people on the internet refer to me as a boy. But all that said, I did not feel like I was a boy in gender. I actually preferred the idea that a girl could be all these things. And it would have been horrible if people had tried to pressure me in any way to believe I was a boy in gender. The times people have mistaken me for a boy were never something I enjoyed.
I love that this article focuses on breaking down gender stereotypes. It will be cool when things are no longer “for” girls or boys. :)

If people don’t stand up for what they value they lose their voice. It’s the activists speaking out against it that will make it not pass. Any movement that threatens to take away your freedom you should be very aware of.
…To the people complaining about the wikipedia blackout.
I wish google and even tumblr had seriously blocked themselves yesterday, to show everyone how much a part of society they are. And kids, learn to do your homework the day before it is due. >.>

Have you even stopped to read the facts? It’s not SOPA or PIPA, or entirely the American Government. But I guess if you want to put a blinder on and be swindled, it’s your money. :/ Those guys were not your friends.

Many people paid money to be able to download faster. If only people could learn to invest that into something of real value, like one of America’s few remaining exports-creativity and innovation. If you love something, vote with your dollar. Yes corporations are corrupt. Yes, I do support many of the ideas behind Occupy Wallstreet. But the ENTITLEMENT that so many people are displaying when it comes to downloading entertainment is revolting. And that was the final straw that lead me to post this rant.
I also need to do my work. :P

Looking at the facts behind this, this seems totally okay with me. Sounds like a bunch of fat cats knowingly taking people’s money for material that did not belong to them. I’m hugely against SOPA and PIPA but this site is just blatant about large scale pirating, and once again, profiting from it, which I am also against.
For those of you complaining you can’t download shows and whatnot anymore- You’re probably a lot like me. You might not normally watch tv, because most of it is garbage. But there are a few good shows you do love that aren’t available in America, etc. and you love them and want to support them by watching them and being a part of the fandom.
But why not vote with your dollar? Invest in what you love so that the creators can have the money to make more, or the producers can see the value in it and not cancel it.
